CMDR Journal of Social Research is a biannual peer-reviewed journal in the English language that started in 2024 and is dedicated to advancing research across diverse social science disciplines under the aegis of Centre for Multi-disciplinary Development Research (CMDR), Dharwad, Karnataka State. It provides a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights and innovative approaches to social development. The journal encompasses a broad spectrum of fields which employ themselves in social research, including agriculture, anthropology, cultural studies, economics, education, sociology, political science, social work, history, literature, linguistics, management, development studies, sports science, education, pedagogy, psychology, law, gender studies and rural development, among others. With a commitment to interdisciplinary exploration, CMDR Journal of Social Research addresses critical issues such as sustainable development, food security, health and well-being, globalisation, social justice, human development and human rights. Its thematic focus spans areas like agricultural extension, demographic transitions, environmental sustainability, cultural heritage, governance, and social inclusion. Its aims and scope is to support collaborative research and knowledge exchange and contribute to the holistic understanding and resolution of pressing social challenges, promoting equitable and sustainable growth across global contexts. It provides a platform to publish original research, short-notes, review articles, book reviews, and comments on social sciences topics.
